I have had several instances where I have had questions regarding my account. Female representative that has assisted me every time has always been extremely snide and condescending. Will not allow me to fully explain my concerns over account without condescending interruptions . There have been Ridiculous holds on $100 to $250 checks my husband has received for side jobs . Representatives reply was “ If you had 40k or more in your account then maybe a hold wouldn’t be placed .” After I expressed my husbands direct deposit would very much cover that and more she simply said “ I don’t know what to tell you , all institutions do that”
This has been with personal checks , business checks , escrow checks , even tuition reimbursement checks .
Today I simply called regarding a fee I didn’t understand and her reply was “ did you even try and ask the company why they messed up “ after expressing I had just contacted them and needed a little more help and redirection to understand the charge .
I have worked for several credit unions and the customer service my husband and I have received through SFCU has been nothing but unpleasant. Unfortunately this was the credit union his employer recommended but we will be transferring to SSFCU or Randolph .
Very disappointed in how this institution treats their members . If someone calls and asks for assistance or help it’s because they need it or don’t understand. A representatives job is to facilitate the experience and assist them not be condescending or rude when someone is expressing concerns for their own money .
I have contacted management and left voicemails . Needless to say there has been no attempt to communicate.
