Overall satisfied with CUOne, have been with them many years. The 5 stars are for Gregory at the Maple/Drake branch in W Bloomfield. Always efficient and friendly, recognizes regular, helps to keep things quick, transactions are always fast.

Someone stole over 1000$ from my account. I had all the theives info, and this credit union told me, "It wasn't worth their time to go after them." That's why they and other do not pay good interest. Switched to Chime, and I've been extremely happy. I had an account since the early nineties here and will NEVER BE BACK.

For the most part I have always loved credit union one. However about a week ago I went into the Ferndale branch and applied for a personal loan. I was told I'd hear something in a couple hours. It's been over a week and I haven't heard a word from them about the loan. I don't know if the female that took my information even applied. Never have had an experience like this with Credit Union One before. You would think I'd have gotten a phone call, email, something. Not a good way to do business especially after one of the tellers asked me if I wanted to apply. Maybe I should have went through her instead.

The best credit union! I have had an account with them for over a decade and they have always been excellent. Back when I was struggling they would help me by waiving the occasional overdraft fees, and now they have a feature where you can overdraft your account up to $1000 without any penalties. This really helped me out when I was going through a rough time. They have also assisted me immediately when my card information was stolen and fraudulent charges were put on my account, I had my money back within the same day.
I applied for a personal loan with them when other banks were having me jump through hoops to qualify, I was approved very quickly and the loan process was easy and funds were in my account the same day that I signed the agreement. They helped to set up automatic payments so it will always be paid on time.

I gave them many chances but their customer service keeps dropping the ball. Their card fraud department is a third party so they are no help. They can't give any reasons, and can give very little help - every answer is just "It's a third party, it's out of our hands." Unacceptable!
Their whole phone system is a third party service too. You cannot contact the actual branch.

Also their store hours are horrible. 10-4 during the week? Closed all weekend? Plus very few people working during lunch hours, which (if I can't go before or after work) is when people can mostly go!

And they ALWAYS mess something up for you on a Friday before a weekend, especially if Monday is a bank holiday. Happened to me multiple times where a transaction on my card is flagged as fraud all of a sudden at 5 on Friday and my card is locked. It could be any regular transaction, under $10, that I do all the time, but it'll randomly flag it.

"Service is our mission." Well accomplished clearly (sarcasm).
After yeeaars at CUONE, taking my money out immediately.

Good service and people. however, i fail to understand how this office cannot be contacted directly by phone. The number listed for the Creditunion one is in fact a one8:00 number central to the credit union and not that office directly. In addition that That phone tree that they direct you to doesn't lead you to the office either. I find this Yet another development in impersonal business. Why can't I call that office?
