I was there on a Friday at 12:20 pm and I didn't have an appt (the earliest appt was in 3 months), so I read after noon you can do a walk-in, they turned off the text app at 12:15 pm ( the person in front of me told me that), they were a lot of people in front of me. Around 2 pm, the supervisor went out and explained to us they are 62 people in front of us, they will do their best, he was very nice and ask everyone if we have any questions, and finally, when I was at the front, the woman was so RUDE(the one in the picture), when I was inside the worker was kind to some people and not to others. She even kicked one person out of the place. The wait was long, I left there at 5:10 pm, so almost 5 hours, however Except for this woman on the picture, everyone else are really nice.
My advice: Arrive at least 11:00 am and get ready to start texting.

A friendly receptionist came outside and invited me inside. He was calm, friendly, and knowledgeable, gave me a number, explained the process, and asked me to take a seat. I felt comfortable and welcomed. The wait was fine. The examiner put me at ease with calm friendliness, a smile, and clear directions. The process went smoothly. The staff did a great job. Thank you, Charlie

I went to this DMV in December to renew my license and get the Real ID. I could not make an appointment online and took my chance as a walk in. I was dreading the thought of going. Even though the line outside was forming for walk-ins, I took a chance and went to the front desk. To my surprise, they checked me in. (I had the required documents). I waited 10 minutes. I had a delightful lady help me. She has worked for many other State agencies in the past. She was quick, helpful, and efficient. I wish I got her name. She was very kind. I went there with dread and left very satisfied. Keep up the great work!

My husband and our son went today to the Spring Forest DMV office, with an appointment for a permit. My husband was impressed with the service and how nice the staff was from start to finish! We greatly appreciate a POSITIVE experience because that is not the case often enough these days......KUDOS to them!!

Today was my second failed attempt to go to the DMV here. I'm transferring from out of state which needs to be done within 60 days. The first day I went was when it opened. I stood in line an hour before opening time just to be told the DMV doesn't take walk-ins and that even if I do get an appointment, I should expect to wait all day at this DMV, not just a few hours. I went online to schedule but they are booked for 90 days and the only slots available were 3 hours away. That's not gonna work. I'm no mathematician but 90 days is longer than 60 days. I read in one of the reviews they take walk-ins starting at noon.

Second day trying, I get there at 11:55am and there is a QR code on the door and below it says to scan the QR code or to text "U10 Get in line" to 31289, which is all the QR code does. This dropped a link to a website which said there were 64 people in front of me and gave me a ticket number. By the way, the text says they will call you when it's time, but they never actually call you.

After waiting 3 hours and 48 minutes in my car in the August mid day heat, my phone gets a text saying to come inside, and then immediately I get a text saying to come to window 3. I go inside but there is someone else already at window 3. I walk back to the lobby where another employee tells me I need to be at window 3. Additionally, there is a TV displaying my wait number and indicating for me to go to counter 3. I went back to counter 3 and waited patiently, which was still serving the other customer. The DMV employee ignored me for some time and then finally said "I called you 4 times." To which I responded as gently as possible, "I'm sorry. I came as soon as I got the text. Please sir, I have been waiting for many hours and this is my second day." To which he yelled at me "Back of the line!" He was the same employee that told me the day before that I can't be seen without an appointment. Then he threw his head back and laughed loudly, as though he got some sort of power trip off this. I am not sure what I did wrong and can't fathom how others can be so rude. I just know that even if I make it up to that counter, they will tell me I do not have the right paperwork and I'll have to take yet another day off work.

I know the DMV often gets a bad rep. Their walk in system is mediocre but also not sure how to make it better. I had some issues with my paper work and at first they said they wouldn’t be able to help me, but then they dug in and were able to fix it. Several people were assisting me in the end and they worked hard to process my documents and get me a license. I am so relieved that I was able to get this done and it was thanks to the knowledgeable employees at this location.

Nothing you read online is true, went on a Tuesday at 12:30 PM. Online wait time was “19 mins after check in.” QR code to reserve my spot in line didn’t work, kept telling me I had to wait after noon to check in. Waited outside in the cold for an hour to be told they wouldn’t be able to see any walk-ins for the day. Try to go to a location outside of the triangle if you can.
