This is by far the worst DMV. Be prepared to wait 3+ hours. Bring yourself a chair & food. The workers are extremely rude, especially the older African American lady with a low haircut. People would ask her questions and she would dismiss them as if she was bothered.

I arrived @ 6:30am and waited in the cold, they only allowed a few walk-ins inside at a time. I wasn't let in until 10:00am. They called my number around 11:30am. I'm honestly disappointed with the service here. If I could give this place negative stars I would.

Every time I come here the line is extremely long. If you don’t have an appointment there is never a guarantee that you will be seen. The staff is very rude. All the NC DMV’s are like this. They make it extremely difficult to receive anything. I tried going on the website to set an appointment but you can’t get an appointment for 3-4 months in advance. Sometimes people don’t have that time to just wait. I couldn’t set an appointment the last time I used the website because it kept redirecting me and making it extremely difficult to set an appointment. It was impossible to find set the appointment because it was no where to be located on the website.

No way to make an appointment within the next 3 months. No way to make an appointment more than 3 months out. They only take appointments and let in a few walk-ins every 3 hours. Got there at 7a.m. and didn't get served before closing for a learner's permit. Of course, only open on weekdays, so kid missed school all day for nothing. Each number that is called is at whatever window for more than 30 minutes. It should not take a ridiculously long time for simple license renewals and upgrades to real IDs that a lot of these people came in for. The staff are purposely moving slowly to perpetuate the need for more staff. It's sad and disgusting.

I’m so glad I didn’t let all the negative reviews deter me from visiting this particular DMV. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe I’m just pleasant to deal with and had all my ducks in row when I showed up with no appointment for a license renewal. It was crowded, but the process still went smoothly and I was done in under an hour. Two employees, Blossom and Anthony stood out to me and were the perfect representation of professionalism and great service. Thankful to them both for their service, for getting me in and out so quickly and for me not having another horror story to add to the lists of reviews here! 5* service!

I was able to get a last minute appointment to renew my license miraculously! I showed up and there was a line at the door, but the lady at the front desk comes out and brings in anyone with an appointments and a few walk ins at a time depending on their availability. I interacted with two people on their team and both were pleasant and helpful.

I couldn't get an appointment so I had to come down to the offices. I have been here since 11am and it is now 3:40. I still have not been called. So all I needed to do was transfer my Ohio liscense to a NC one. Who knew it would be an all day event. I should have bought chicken and waffles while I waited. Better yet a food truck nearby would be beneficial here. Just saying.
If appointments are unavailable and can't even get through to a person how is this service justifiable? I mean, why even offer appointments if you can't even get one.

The long wait stinks but is not the fault of the employees. They were all super friendly and helpful. They communicated clearly and gave direction for those of us without an appointment. This was my second DMV in 2 days, the first experience at a different location was a lot different. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a food truck for those of us with long waits.

This place is the worst DMV office in the States. Extremely rude to customers especially a middle aged black woman and an Indian race old man. They have no human common sense of comunication. I waited for 6+ hours for roadtest for two days, without explanation or reason these two rude officials failed me. It seems their job is to make things difficult for Carolinians instead of helping.
