Amplify Credit Union is the worst mistake I ever made. I want to make sure no one else makes it and let you in on a practice of theirs. Maybe, if there are others like me, a class action could commence. If you have a loan with them, take a screenshot of your payments and the selected posting date. I set up an ACH payment to post before a late fee can be assessed. Do you know what they did? They withheld posting my ACH bank payment until AFTER they took the money from my account. No mortgage, credit card, or any company receiving an electronic payment has ever withheld posting a payment until they got the money. Amplify Credit Union does! When I requested that they correct this, my request was refused, pointing out my statement, which speaks in my favor. They also state they can hold payment regardless of when it was received. Does that sound right to you OR does that sound like a company set on charging hundreds of dollars in inappropriate late fees? I am filing complaints everywhere and about to write the President of the bank. Hopefully, Amplify will be exposed as another WF.

Mortgage servicers may face liability under Truth in Lending Act (TILA) if they fail to credit consumer accounts once an electronic authorization for a mortgage payment is entered. The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Fridman v. NYCB Mortgage Co. LLC, Appeal No. 14-2220, reversed a grant of summary judgment in favor of a mortgagor servicer and allowed a purported class action to continue alleging that the servicer improperly charged late fees related to some electronic payments. This ruling appears consistent with the position taken by The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) which requires mortgage servicers to credit electronic authorizations the day they are made and not the day the electronic payment is processed or received by the servicer.

Stay away from getting a loan here. It would be a mistake.

Amplify credit union is the worst. Do not ever get a mortgage here and expect things to run smoothly. If you have issues I needed to get my roof replaced and unfortunately my insurance company made the check out to both myself and amplify what a nightmare trying to get the checks cashed, the person in the loan department is so bad at communicating and letting me know exactly what I needed to do that she wasted so much of my time. I had to drive to Austin multiple times to get two checks cashed because she couldn’t seem to tell me exactly what it is that she needed the first time the assistant branch manager was very nice and did everything he could to help me and that was appreciated. The second time the assistant branch manager was completely useless and extremely sarcastic with me. I would suggest anybody got any place else, but amplify for their mortgage needs.
