This company makes itself out to be a champion for alternative energy, but has delayed the connection of our solar system for months. Approved our original plan but then required unnecessary additions after the project was completed and approved by the county. This is not just my experience, CORE is notoriously difficult to work with for homeowners who want more reliability, savings and control over their home energy with solar. Pretty disappointed as I was pretty on board with the image CORE has attempted to create.

I was at my cabin in Fairplay and all my power went out. I submitted an outage report online after hours and received the call within 30 minutes from someone. They walked me through resetting the power at the main by the road and after a couple of attempts it turned back on. Beyond grateful for the quick response.

Not a one star because I have had a long relationship with IREA with minimal issues and overall great service, CORE is only supposed to b a rebranding, however so far we are not off to a good start. My very 1st experience with CORE is a communication failure.
Last week I came home and noticed tire tracks through my yard, upon investigation found a few sapling aspens that we had finally got to take, a broken limb in a more mature aspen, and finally finding an electric pole laying in the grass along the fence by where the electric enters the property. The property is overgrown although a tag left on the door notifying us of the need to access the property would have enabled me to reach out and give the needed information to protect our investment in the property as well as our business relationship.

Not only were we unaware the work would be performed, after noticing I reached out to the local supervisor whome was unavailable and I didn't receive a call back from anyone else either.
Earlier this week I arrived home and low and behold they had again returned unannounced, they did drive the same path I will say. However this time tree limbs from the the tree by the replaced pole were just left in a pile.
Again I called and was forwarded to Mike the regional, after his investigation I was informed that the crew had knocked on the door (leaving no note requesting access) and decided it was alright to drive wherever.
He did say it would be addressed with the crew. I don't know what that involves but I hope in the end they show others a lot more respect in the future.

Thank you for your awesome response time! We are in the middle of nowhere and expect to be inconvenienced at times but that did not happen . I don’t think you could have received faster service if you lived down town Denver. Can’t thank your staff enough for being on top of it with high winds and a tree on the lines at night.

IREA customer representative graced this utility paying home owner with their presence. I made an appointment with IREA to have a rep come onsite to get advice on how to save on utility cost since IREA's news letter stated that they would send a representative to come to homes to check and advice on how to save on utility costs. IREA rep. came onsite, was unprofessional, disrespectful. I am a paying utility customer to IREA so I expect IREA to be respectful in my home. IREA representative did not wear booties on their shoes, I do not allow shoes in my house and representative was disrespectful when I requested no shoes or wear booties on the shoes. When I called IREA to make the appointment, I made the phone rep aware that I wanted the rep to wear booties or take shoes off. So not sure why IREA rep was disrespectful when she was onsite. It is too bad that IREA has monopolized my area, I would switch to another company and I know plenty of other home owners that would as well. Looking into solar power and disconnecting IREA all together. I do not like dealing with IREA! I am paying IREA! not the other way around, have some respect!

Your automated phone system did not permit you to reach an operator. Your automated options did not address my issue and now I’ll need to put them in writing and mail them. That gives you a rating of 1.

If you have the option go off grid rather than be stuck with the worst electric company EVER. Terrible customer service and they feel as though nothing is an emergency.
