Hands down, FCA has some of the best feed around and a great choice of other products/supplies as well. All the staff have been helpful and always seem happy to answer my millions of questions. The ladies at the front counter surprise my kiddo with a lollipop when he comes, so he makes sure to never miss a trip to “his farm store”. I wish I knew his name, but the guy that loads my feed Wednesday mornings always leaves my kiddo with a smile when he drives up his forklift, waving and smiling. We love FCA! Thank you for always being so great!

I have used Farmers Coop for various things over the last 11 years we have lived in Frederick and they have always been great. This past week they went above and beyond. I broke my ankle so I can't drive, but was out of shavings. I called them and even though I missed the delivery order deadline they still were able to make an exception to deliver shavings the same day. That's customer service!

The two front desk girls are very knowledgeable and amazing. Every time I come in, they greet me with smiles, and go above and beyond. I highly recommend Farmers Coop with their freshly made daily feed that is locally grown by farmers. This is a true hidden gem in Maryland

We were a customer of Farmers for 2 years after purchasing our home. They were referred from the previous homeowner of 30+ years so naturally we wanted to continue to use their service. I was new to having Oil as a heating system, However I found that every time I spoke with anyone there there was a sense as if I should know how oil works and the ins and outs. When our system failed multiple calls to them and the team that assists with their repairs I was bounced back and forth, told my area was no longer serviced, then scheduling conflicts.

My last oil delivery was concerning in that we paid for a delivery, then my HVAC ceased working. After being told they had no one to even refer to my area, two new companies demonstrated where my in ground tank had been damaged and couldnt deliver oil until rectified. Interestingly enough two tech have been out to inform me my oil well was bone dry. Not sure why the delivery man wouldn’t just indicate there was a delivery problem in general. No call, no note, no email to say dear customer we had trouble with your delivery and wanted to bring to your attention….So that makes it all The more concern for question.-. If it was a problem that existed I am not sure why they wouldn’t bring it to my attention right away…if they broke it I have the same questions. I completely understand staffing issues, or other bad days a business can have but I would hope for open communication and assistance. My overall recommendation is they are great for seasoned owners..but if you are new to Oil and a new homeowner there may be better options with staff that are more patient with the customer education process.

Staff has always been helpful and courteous when we go.

I prefer coming here to get heating pellets for the winter as the loading process is quicker than lowes or home depot and pricing seems more reasonable year over year. Call ahead and they'll have it out front for an even more efficient process.

Would recommend double checking your truck's towing/bed capacity before picking up a pallet of anything though. May be common sense to some but the smell of burnt metal the whole way home was an unpleasant lesson.

The prices are very competitive so it is well worth giving it a try.
