I found Rosalie to be an authentic community of genuine people! It didn’t matter who you were or where you came from, as long as you were willing to cooperate with others and do your chores, you would be accepted as an equal. The house is centrally located, surrounded by some amazing parks and has a beautiful 3rd floor shared balcony with an amazing view! I lived there for about 3 years and can say that Rosalie (and HAUS Project in general) has enriched my life with great friends from around the world and a sense of belonging that you simply can't find in any other living situation. Having said that, living in a shared community can be challenging at times and requires a willingness to be the change you wish to see in the world and meet people half way.

100% would reccomend if you are interested in joining a friendly community of creatives and professionals, and are a fan of intentional communities. You might be a good fit if you like spending time with others, like having roommates, like teamwork, like interacting with individuals with views that differ from your own, and like sharing responsibity for cooking & cleaning.

Would not reccomend if you don't like living with other people, don't like cooking or cleaning , don't like teamwork, don't like interacting with individuals with views that differ from your own, or struggle with organized chaos.

If you’re looking for a sociable, cooperative community—look no further! Located in the heart of Midtown (right by Axelrad), Rosalie House is affordable and well-kept.

My housemates took care of me while I was sick, bringing me food and stopping by to chat. I’ve made a couple of close friends through the house and learned a lot about gardening, cooking for big groups, and more.

This is not your typical share house or apartment—we do 5 hrs of labor each week. Sometimes living with so many different personalities can be challenging. But overall, I’m so grateful to be a part of a supportive, engaging and affordable co-op!

Where to even start. Don't move here if you are BIPOC, bellow the middle-class, or don't have a formal education. This co-op bases it's "values" around the rhetoric often repeated by socially progressive groups, but in reality, those values manifest themselves in repeated power structures that place educated, upper- lass individuals in officer positions. Over the year I've lived here the haus has become significantly less diverse, and increasingly totalitarian. Don't try to speak your mind, especially as a marginalized person, because you will be shutdown and invalidated. As a matter of fact, my review is only being made because my comments on an Instagram post about appropriation were deleted. Groupthink is the name of the game, and if you're able to subscribe to these arbitrary structures this is the place for you. Privilege runs rampant through this house, but don't try to call it out, or you'll be accused of being biased. The labor structure of this house is holier than god. Don't have a disability if you move in either, exceptions are begrudgingly made, and you'll be made to feel less than. If you love drama and stress from your home structure this is the place for you. -3/10 stars
