Visited the McCoy at the VA hospital in Lake Nona on Tuesday, May 7th. When my Dad and I approached the 2 windows, neither one of the associates made eye contact and welcomed us to their station. (We were the only customers there) A male associate was on his phone and never looked up and the female associate was hidden behind the computer screen. The female associate finally saw us. The way she greeted us was “can I help you?” with no real enthusiasm. No good morning, how are you, welcome, etc..

She had a face mask on behind the bullet resistance glass and she spoke very softly so it was difficult to hear her. My dad couldn’t hear a word she said so I had to repeat everything to him.

The reason for the visit was my dads debit card was not working at the ATM. He had just received the card a couple of weeks prior and activated it and had used it once before and then the 2nd time he went to use it, it didn’t work. We were trying to find out why. The young lady behind the counter told us that the card he had was an old card made by a different company so it is no longer in service. She didn’t offer to order him a new card or even apologize for the inconvenience. I asked if we could get a new card and get it rushed which she did help us with. At the end of the interaction, the associate didn’t say thank you or ask if there was anything else we needed. Not once did the associate call my dad by his name.

Overall, the interaction was lacking in several areas. As a daughter of a veteran who is at a VA hospital, I was disappointed in the service he received. My Dad has been a long time member of McCoy for at least 50 years. A simple “thank you” goes a long way…especially to our veterans in the VA hospital.

No pleasant greeting, no thank you and no use of name by your associates makes your customers feel like they are not valued as a member of McCoy Credit Union.

Sam was very professional and patient with me. He took time to answer all my questions and his customer service was exceptional!!

I will definitely use them for my other financial needs!!

I'm must say that it was a good experience, I went there for the first time and I was expecting to hear a...no you can't, but it was the opposite, I spoke with a person called Maila, she spent enough time with me, I asked her a lot of questions and she took the time to answer and to explain every possible detail, this person know how to keep the customer satisfied, indeed.
I made my goal on this today
I hope everyone have the same good experience as me.

I was in Florida about a week ago to handle business for my uncle with McCoy Federal credit Union and the lady that helped me out there was very knowledgeable found out the information she needed to and help me out very quickly the same day so I didn't have to spend more time there and waste money and she was very friendly and offered to help me at any point in time that I needed it and gave me her personal card with her information so I knew who I can talk to whenever I called..

This small branch with an ATM machine is conveniently located between the pharmacy and canteen. McCoy FCU originally opened back in the 1950s as a military member Credit Union and was named after McCoy Air Force Base which closed in 1974. Great to see the present McCoy FCU maintain its heritage and serve the many military veterans that reside in the area.
