Tip - Do the online application and then follow up as soon as possible. I followed up next day. I literally checked in, went to the bathroom, came out and my number was already called. It was that FAST!

I don't know if this applies to my success speed but went on a Friday morning. Goodluck!

Kristine is the most professional and courteous social security worker I’ve ever dealt with.
I had Numerous phone conversations with so many workers asking to explain the difference between the three offered options. And no one was able to do it! Some of them didn’t know the subject, some of them couldn’t explain clearly (lack of professionalism).
In contrary, Kristine used a few sentences to clarify the issue. Bravo, Kristine!
P. S.: the sign to do “Mobile Check-in” must be Next to “No Appointment Wait Line “ sign!!!

shamefully bad service. I have already been waiting for 4 hours, but there are still people ahead of me. only 3 windows out of 20 windows are working. Service is terribly slow. I just came to inform you that I have become a citizen. Why is there no option to do it online? I am getting prepared. file a complaint with the regulatory authorities for wasting my time and being disrespectful

Very bad service, it was my first time at this location as soon as I seat in front of the employee his first question was Are you a US citizen? I said yes then he asked me for my social security number and said is not showing as US citizen you need to bring proof then we can help you. I been a US citizen for about 25 years and I was there to change my last name after my divorce so I left came back the next day with my proof of citizenchip of course I got the same person to help me (my luck) and I gave him my US passport and my divorce papers and he said this are copies we need originals I explained to him thats what the court sent me he said well you need to go back because I can't accept this so I left went to my car called my lawyer and why I received copies and not originals and he said those are the originals go back and ask to speak with someone else when I got to the door it was already loocked and the security said you have to come back tomorrow can't let you back is is past 4:00pm yes it was 4:08 and he saw me walking out and I tried to explain he didn't even let me speak at all
next day I went to a different location right away they helped me without any issues or questions asked. This is a horribe customer service not willing to help no one else but only their own people this was my first time feeling discrimination in this country.

So far I have nothing bad to say. Yes sometimes there is quite a few people and sometimes a wait but other than that the staff is great, and once you get in they try to get you out in a timely manner.

I don’t think it’s fair that I got here 45 before the office opened, and since I stood at the very front on the line, the sign to do “mobile check-in,” was not visible to me. Apparently they put this sign in the middle or the back of the line. Sooo, those who got there MUCH later than I did, were able to check in right away by taking a picture of the QR code and filling out a little bit of information (doesn’t matter if you have an appointment or not), and sit down once the office opened. How is this fair? These same people were in and out way before I was… no appointment. Thanks for letting those who got there especially early know about this sign, security guards! Maybe put that stupid sign in the front of the line so that those who got there early could actually benefit from it.

I have had 2 long winded horror stories with previous Social Security offices .. I had been so stressed and put this off for a year because of my previous experiences. I will spare you all the gory details because THIS experience was the most seamless, professional and efficient that I have gone through and I am so grateful. I filled out my application online, I showed up when it opened and checked in at the kiosk, I sat down intending to be waiting for a while and was called up immediately. The woman I worked with was friendly and knowledgable and highlighted additional info for getting my other documents updated for me...I was out of there in 15 minutes tops.
