I find their service to be amazing! Their rates are fair, the electrically delivery is safe and reliable!

They are the kind of company were you can still talk to a real person. This seems to be very unusual in todays world.

Tri-County thank you for your unwavering commitment to excellence!

I’ve been with this electric company for almost two and a half years and do not recommend them if you have any choice. Unfortunately, we did not due to the apartment complex we lived in.

They made it incredibly difficult for me to get a letter of credit for a new electric company to waive the deposit despite my long history of being with them; I had moved to a different unit a few months ago and they refused to give me the good payment history for the last account that had been closed from my old unit. The letter of credit I received only had three months of my good payment history and the representative had to “ask her manager for approval” to give me the rest of my history from my old unit. What’s the point of paying on time for years if you’re not going to give me proof of my good payment history for a new company?

I cannot believe you pay to be apart of this co-op.

I suppose when you monopolize a utility service in an area, you can treat customers as poorly as you like.
I just moved into a Morningstar home in the heat of the summer and even though the electric was scheduled to transfer yesterday to my name, it was disconnected and I was told that they would reconnect by the end of the day for $50 otherwise it will reconnect tomorrow by 5pm.
What is the point of a review when customers have no choice of who will provide services?
I asked spoke to two representatives from Tri-County Electric. Both ladies were very inconsiderate and rude.

Unfortunately I can't give them 0 stars. Texas is supposed to be unregulated and we are supposed to be able to choose our electric company, but some how this Mafia (Co-Op) has been able to lock out all competition in my area. As a result they can charge anything they want.

My electricity usage is lower than last year but the cost went up 135%. Their customer service claims it is because of the cost of natural gas. My neighbor who lives just outside of the Tri County exclusion zone has seen his charges drop while ours has continued to climb.

I have submitted a complaint with city of Fort Worth and with the Texas AG but since organizations like this get their territories by buying politicians I doubt my complaints will go anywhere.

It’s obvious that this company is taking advantage of customers who have no other options. About to blast the issue to all the news networks. $1000 electric bills for one month is not okay. We aren’t even home 10 hours a day. When asked to come take a look at our meter to make sure it’s correct, we were told it would be a $250 change. Our bill has tripled since we moved in 1.5 years ago. This should be illegal.

I wish I could give zero stars. The most unreliable service and inconsistent pricing I've ever experienced. They have doubled their rate several times over the last two years that I've been forced to use their service. In 2020 their rate was .0175, in 2021 it was .0250, January 2022 was .0325 and May 2022 was .0750! My bill is more now (and I keep my thermostat near or above 80*) than it was in February 2020 during the extreme freeze/weather.

They give you NO notice that rates will go up, so you are just forced to pay when your bill arrives. They have a beautiful new building that the CUSTOMERS pay for. It's sickening. I will be reporting them and their deceptive practices. Tri-County Electric, you should be ashamed of taking advantage of your customers, during summer when we're already fighting increased costs everywhere else. Completely embarrassing.

And DO NOT suggest installing solar to me. I'm not interested in increasing my costs/maintenance so that YOU can bank the extra power and continue to charge customers outrageous prices.

We are forced to use this horrible place because of the apartments we live in. Customer service is non-existent. They never respond to complaints. During the February winter storm of 2021, we were without power for 2 days but our bill was 5 times higher than the highest bill we'd ever received from them. $500 for 26 days of service for a little 2-bedroom apartment? REALLY? I sent an email to EVERY executive with this 2-bit group about it, and NONE of them ever bothered to respond. I would give them ZERO stars if I could.

I, a new customer, overpaid my electric bill as a precaution, and then they still shut off my power twice in the last three days. I work from home and could get fired if this keeps happening.
