I wasnā€™t happy to place my dad here based on the reviews and reputation of TNR. Heā€™s been at Turlock Nursing and Rehab for 3 weeks now and we couldnā€™t be happier! The physical therapy department is outstanding! Darvinder goes above and beyond her job description! My dad has no complaints here except the food isnā€™t hot enough which is minor. The nurses are communicative and competent! A word of advice for any nursing or rehab center, make yourself known, be there everyday, get to know people! I hope this place overcomes its reputation itā€™s a great place for our hometown! Our family recommends TNR for their loved ones!

This place is the worst ok maybe not the worst. I had an issue with the nurses and CNAs and didn't want to give me their names. I spoke with their supervisors and they worked with me to resolve the problem. Physical therapy is all about billing your insurance so they can make money. My roommate had a stroke effected his brain couldn't think straight. He had n amputated leg because of diabetes. They didn't make sure his sleeve was covering his leg before they put his prosthetic leg on and caused him a wound. While treating his wound still had nerve to try and make him walk on it. Just to make their money. They are not all bad But it a business. It's good to make sure the treatment they give is in the best interest for you or your loved ones. It's a good idea to make sure you and your family get your covid shot because they let it run rapid threw their facility patience, staff members when I was there. This place would rather let you or your family member die before they have to test you and report it. Their environment is unsafe they only care about filling their rooms and their pockets. Nurses do work hard and are under stressful condition. It's the lil extra mile they need to go in order to ensure a safer environment. This place is a danger to the community when they don't stay on top of things. Thank you social services Cynthia for helping me address my issues at the end. This place is probably not the worst but still make sure you are aware of what's going on. I'll give them this food is pretty good. There are some good, hard working people that work there. Looks like conditions have improved before I left. Hope everyone stays safe. Be mindful of the surrounding. If it seems like to many people with symptoms of the virus going on let them know your concerns until someone listens or you and your family could be at risk. I will say the condition did improve. Make sure your love ones are safe and it's safe for you. If we just let places like this half ass and not function to the full potential we are putting our loved ones and selves at risk. I am greatful for the service and care I did receive. And like I said their not the worst place. Thank you for making the much needed improvement.

I am in Turlock nursing rehab and nursing care. Iā€™ve been here two months. I fell at a quinceanera and broke my hip and so Iā€™ve been through therapy with Ramon mostly and Gurvinder and I love them both. Iā€™ve had a wonderful experience with the gym there at nursing and, true like they would not allow me to have my Tylenol because of my leg would always hurt my good I need to write those down and have each one of the CNAā€˜s read them and sign them because nobody seems to tell them CNAā€˜s what the truth is what the facts are and and that upsets me very much cause Iā€™m in charge of my own Bill my own medical treatment Iā€™m divorced. I live alone so I donā€™t need to be in the dark about anything and thatā€™s thatā€™s what got me. The worst upset is just that I was kept in the dark and then that said because I was in Covid I couldnā€™t have a shower then but yet I had to have a shower to get out of there so all of a sudden things are not making sense to me and and so we needed somebody that knew what the hell they were talking about and I got Stephanie finally but she said youā€™ll be out tomorrow. Well tomorrow came and went, and I never went out and said thereā€™s another dispelled so called truth and but I did get out the next day after that. Iā€™ve done well with my different roommates. Iā€™ve been alone a lot, which is great , I love having the room by myself. Iā€™ve come to really love all my CNAā€˜s. There may be some. I didnā€™t really care for, but I donā€™t even know who they are, but my worst experience was the men shouting. I truly do not believe that men should be mixed in the same damn hallway as a woman, and thereā€™s a guy straight across from me that they ended up taking out of here because he he not only would shout and screaming and say the F word he was threatening my CNAā€˜s, he was then he started exposing himself, so the state came in and got rid of him, but thereā€™s also people like that going on today and they need to get rid of these people that are abusive what they call out instead of using their button, I use the button so being Irish I said you use the button if I have to use the button but other than that, Iā€™ve had a wonderful experience here

This place is awful! If you can avoid sending your loved one here then do it. My mother had to stay here for 4 weeks and it was nothing but problems. The first day she called me crying because no one was answering her call light(which was always a problem) and she needed to use the bathroom. A couple days later a CNA came into her room which was 10 at night and grabbed her purse ,took her wallet and took out her debit card. The CNA never informed her of what she was doing or bothered to ask her if she could even touch her purse. I tried talking to a supervisor but was led in circles regarding this matter. They also "punished" my mother by not showering her for 5 days because I gave her a shower on a none shower day. I called an requested for her to be showered but was ignored. Call lights are ignored constantly, on 2 occasions it took 20mins for someone to check on her (I timed it). I experienced a cna throw up her hands and mumble "my god what now" because the call light was pulled. The ONLY positive thing I can say about this place would be the physical therapy staff trying their best to help their patients. The pt staff member washed my mother's hair to help her feel better since the nursing staff would not give her a shower. Avoid this place and if you can't make sure to be the voice for your loved one because they will be pushed around and taken advantage of.

My mother was in this facility and it was awful.
The staff left her in her bed soiled, they would not respond to her call button in a timely manner the food was cold and lacking any flavor. They did not send all the proper items home to dress her wound. Upon leaving my husband had to help her from the bed to the wheel chair and then into our vehicle because none of the staff returned to help. They also dropped the ball on setting up the home health care.
Do not put your loved one in this facility!!!

I started as a CNA in TNRC , So I took a decision when I got LVN license. I will continue in same place . As a CNA , I worked for 2 years in NOC shift and all staff worked as a team . I never had a problem. When I started as a LVN they have availability in ok shift then I started in pm shift . In the meantime, there was a ADON (simran ) and RN(harjit) had an issues with staff. They didnā€™t want any other LVN/RN work there because they want their friends back on that place . I had an issue with RN one day and very next day she told me to Simran wanted to see us together in her office . When I went to DON ā€˜s office ADON was sitting in DONā€™s chair . She gave me write upp for 1 hr OT and I explained her I had fall risk that I had to watch also she said , thatā€™s pointless for DON then I told her itā€™s hard to stay if we have to face these situations everyday then she said ā€œGO TO HOSPITAL THEN YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO WORKā€ . Then I gave resign notice because itā€™s my thought {NURSES are not WORKING to get insulted }.

Worst experience! Would give zero stars if possible. My dad was transported there from the hospital. They performed a wound vac on an open abdomen with no pain medication. He fell out of bed that same night and was on the floor, staff stated they didn't know how long he'd been on the floor. No proper evaluation was done after the fall. It was only after family came in to advocate for him that a doctor came. The doctor that came refused to transport to hospital for proper evaluation after my dad's primary care/surgical team advised him to come back to the hospital for ct scan and x rays. Also the room was incredibly dirty.

I encourage all to know their rights and advocate for your loved ones. Get the social workers involved at the hospital and rehab facility to get a referral to another facility or home health set up. File complaint with California Department of Public Health and contact the county ombudsman for assistance.

This place should not be allowed to have patients.

My mother is here receiving care from a heart attack. Most of the staff are very nice and attentive to her needs. However there are a few people there that ruin the experience for the whole place.
First thereā€™s a young Olive Oyl looking girl receptionist in the afternoons/evening that is rude to me and my family. Sheā€™s busy flirting with the staff or talking on the phone. Her name is Peat I think. Maybe McDonaldā€™s would be a better line of work for her.
The nursing staff seems to run like a females dominance hierarchy. The nurses will direct other women to do a task even though they are doing nothing. Most of the cnaā€™s seem to gather in the hall and chatter but the assistants are the ones attending to patients needs. A couple of the assistants are very rude and rough in moving my mother when fixing the bed or cleaning her up. We were told that a particular nurse named Cecelia would not be allowed to care for my mother but she is. Tara the nurse manager said she would be talked to and not allowed to assist my mother after she hurt her leg.
The case manager nurse is full of nice things to say and a lot of promises. But nothing gets done really.
All the pictures you see are misleading. The place is very old and getting run down. Visitors are given a folding steel chair to sit on. The paint and wallpaper are old and falling off. The patients beds are old and hard uncomfortable. The air is stuffy we had to bring in our own fan to circulate the air.
I have spent time in similar rehab facilities and the only thing to look forward to is getting better and going home
