I’ve been with eecu since 2013 and have never had any issue or trouble with them but the one thing I hate is how they don’t have a direct phone number for a specific bank that I want to contact directly to get information from because all banks are different! All the banks are connected to the same 1-800 phone number only which is ridiculous because they don’t have information on the bank I’m trying to reach out to and always tell me to go in to get the information I need!

Thank you to Dana, I spoke with her about me getting fraud. And she helped closed my card and explained to me the situation. I could had this done yesterday if the two other member were to help me instead of telling me that it’s my part to call and figure it out on my own. Anyways, thank you to Dana, give that woman a raise!!!

This point refers to the branch at Barstow Ave.
I asked for a printout of my bank statement and the girl who was not up to serving good gave me only my shared account statement. I didn’t know that she did this until the office that required me to bring my Bank statement said why did you bring only the shared balance ?
Please improve your customer service. It is hard for elderly people like me to come back and get the correct document with the current temperature, 110 degrees.

The ATM machines are old and rarely work. Don't use their machines they will keep your card and you will not get YOUR money. Be careful ?

Every American is dealing with tough times. Every.single.one of us has issues with buying groceries or paying insane rent prices. And just like typical Americans only concerned with what “class” you’re in, my question was answered in the most disregarded fashion. I have an EBT card. My card serves two functions. One for groceries, the other money. I called to ask if this bank was apart of the co op that would allow me to withdraw money from my ebt card and the woman on the line all but laughed at me. Major banks that are an even bigger name than the EECU like Chase and BOA are apart of the co op and in a classist moment, she condescendingly told me “Uhm…no.” As if speaking to someone uneducated and beneath her. Ma’am, your snarky reply was unneeded and your obvious lack of intelligence shows so much that I pray to God whoever else attempts to call customer service line is not met with someone with as little intelligence as you. And perhaps some compassion because EBT should not be a hot button word for poverty. I’ll take your judgement and go to a major bank.

I am the sole caretaker and payee for my aunt, who has special needs. One month ago, I became her primary caregiver and am responsible for her medical decisions and financial matters. I have provided all necessary documentation to support my role as her payee, and while the responsibility has been demanding, we are doing our best to adjust to these changes.
On a recent busy day, Jamie misplaced her debit card, which at the time did not require a PIN for use. In an effort to protect her account, we both contacted member services to temporarily lock the card. When we called back on December 13 to reactivate it, the representative was unprofessional and refused to assist us due to Jamie’s inability to read or respond to certain security questions. The representative insisted that we must visit a branch to resolve the issue.
Our experience became more frustrating on December 17, when we went to the branch located at 455 E Barstow Ave in Fresno, CA, to open a representative payee account. We were informed that Jamie’s account had been blocked and sent to the fraud department. This information was neither communicated to us beforehand, nor was it explained why such action had been taken. I strongly believe that this occurred as a result of the previous representative’s unprofessionalism and my mention of filing a complaint regarding her attitude.
Despite providing the bank with documentation confirming my role as Jamie’s payee, the branch representative insisted that not only would her account remain in the fraud department, but that Jamie would no longer be eligible for a separate personal account, a debit card, or anything beyond direct deposit of her SSI/SSA benefits. This was particularly alarming because Jamie also receives payments from her day program, and we were now unable to deposit these funds. Although the representative stated he would consult with a manager, he returned with the same response, citing Jamie's inability to manage her finances as the reason for these restrictions. At that moment, I felt that the situation had escalated beyond mere security concerns and bordered on discriminatory treatment based on her disability.
Seeking further clarification, we visited another branch located at 3488 W Shaw Ave, where the supervisor was not only apologetic but also very helpful. She worked diligently to resolve the issue, issuing Jamie a new debit card with restricted usage due to her inability to manage her finances independently. While this was a step in the right direction, I believe it should have been handled properly from the start, as individuals with special needs are still entitled to access funds outside of SSI/SSA benefits.
In an effort to better understand the situation, I returned to the Barstow branch the following day. I was told that Jamie could keep her account but would not be issued a debit card. When I inquired if there is a policy prohibiting individuals with special needs from having a debit card, the representative was unable to provide a clear answer. I mentioned the resolution we received at the Shaw branch, where Jamie was issued a debit card. The representative offered vague excuses and suggested we may have had a miscommunication, not realizing that I have full recordings of our interactions, as I anticipated that this matter was being mishandled.
While I understand the importance of safety protocols, I strongly believe that the treatment we received at the Barstow branch was discriminatory and caused unnecessary distress for my aunt, Jamie. Going forward, I sincerely hope that EECU will treat individuals requiring assistance with more respect and professionalism, ensuring that they are not subjected to unfair and discriminatory practices.

This bank scam their own client. If you gonna bank with EECU make sure you keep track of your spending. Business could had withdrawn money from your bank account and EECU will refuse to display the transaction on your statement until 10 days later. Hoping that you will overdraft.
