Hello my name is Allen ; THIS BRANCH ON TEMPLE IS ONE OF THE WORST " CREDIT UNIONS TO DEAL WITH IN L.A. ; I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR 3 YEARS AND I HAVE BEEN OVERCHARGED FOR RANDOM FEES AND I HAVE BEEN DENIED FOR EVERY LOAN I APPLIED FOR , AND THEY HAVE NEVER HELPED ME BUILD MY CREDIT AT ALL ! THEIR BRANCH ACTUALLY MADE MY CREDIT WORSE ! AFTER I PUT THIRTY-TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS IN 2 ACCOUNTS THEY CLAIMED I HAD A BANK LEVY FOR SOMEONE ELSE WHO DID FRAUD ON MY ACCOUNT ELECTRONICALLY AND OPENED A FAKE CREDIT REPORT WITH CHEQ SYSTEMS SAYING I STILL OWE FIRST CITY 50 DOLLARS FOR THEIR BRANCH BANK LEVY FEE AFTER THE FTB ALREADY EXPLAINED TO ME THEY HAVE THEIR ENTIRE FEE RETURNED TO THEM . SO NOW FIRST CITY PUT A NEGATIVE POINT ON MY CREDIT REPORT FOR 50 DOLLARS THAT I NEVER OWED THEM IN THE 1ST PLACE.

SO I DEFINITELY WILL NEVER BANK OR ASSOCIATE WITH THEM NEVER AGAIN " I AM JUST GLAD THIS NIGHTMARE IS FINALLY OVER !

I just received a phone call from Linda @ ext 2168, I was made to feel I had done something wrong after she asked questions and requested I obtain additional documentation from the Human Resources at my facility. I initially requested a car loan, but I did not know it would be an inconvenience to do so after having surgery and now in recovery after. Linda did not understand her requests were unreasonable to ask and repeatedly attempted to talk over me so I had no choice but to withdraw my request and end the phone call. Previously I had concerns whether I should change banks since it is affiliated with a former employer. I will now be withdrawing my money from First City after years of banking there and encouraging many of my former Nurse coworkers to do the same due to this disappointing treatment

Horrible new location lacking security. This is the review of the new location .Sure they validate for underground parking. Anyone can enter off the street into lonely parking garage. Take an elevator and walk in the lonely open air courtyard to the street to enter bank. NOTHING about this space says convenience, quick trip to the bank, or this is is safe place to be. Just get me out of here cuz I never want to have to do my banking here again. That was my first impression as I was walking into the bank.

As I was leaving the bank and I was in the lonely parking lot a crazes vagrant ran down the ramp and threw himself to the ground. I rushed to my car. As another woman entered the house underground parking the man began to wave his arms and harass her. N security in sight. Enter at your own risk. I am not coming back….

A warning to the public – the new ATM at First City Credit Union on 717 W Temple St, Los Angeles, CA WILL RIP YOU OFF. You do not put your money in an envelope – you simply stick it in the slot and THE MACHINE counts your money for you. This is a LIE. On Dec 26th I tried this ATM for the first time and lost $200 dollars – it gone.
I tired depositing a 100 dollar bill and it took it, but I didn’t get a receipt.
Being unsure, but thinking it worked I tried depositing ten 100 dollar bills (cash I hoped to use while on vacation) and it kept kicking the money back out. I did this 3 times and each time I got a receipt saying it didn’t work – but the 3rd time I only got back 9 of my 10 bills!
Now that first one didn’t credit to my account. I had 3 receipts for the other tires. I notified my bank and they said they’d look into it, but I also had my account frozen and my card was reported as stolen. (Never mind that I had it in my hand) I was to go to a branch and sort it out. I was in San Diego – there are no branches so I had to wait till after my vacation to deal with this.
I’ve been told the following:
My card was reported stolen because:
1) They mailed me a new card (a year early) and I never activated it.
2) But it was also reported stolen because there was a suspicious charge (Showtime Sub - their online subscription.) for $8.99 – my online subscription.
3) Because someone tried to use the card at a branch I’d never been to before. (Duh – it was me, later confirmed when I reported the ATM incident.
My account was frozen:

2) There was more than one failed activity at the ATM on 12/26. No kidding.
My money is gone - $200 gone. Yes I show up on the camera. Yes, they can see me making (or trying to) my deposit, but they cannot/didn’t find a $200 discrepancy at the ATM when it was balanced the next day.
I wish I could say that First City was a reliable credit union, but I can’t. I will never trust their ATM again – since it steals from you. Beware – don’t trust cash deposits at their ATM either.

We paid $378 to have an appraiser come to the house because we wanted to open a home equity line of credit. We were denied the H.E.L.O.C. by First City because our 1907 house does not have any type of heat.

The house does have heat. The appraisal report clearly has 2 boxes checked as, "Yes" there is heat and "Radiant" for type of heat. We caught First City in a lie. They won't give us the real reason for denying us credit. To a hard-working teacher like myself, I think it would be both ethical and just to get a fair answer. I have since filed a complaint with the Federal Reserve. Wether the complaint goes anywhere doesn't really matter so much but I felt I just had to document the experience to others. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

I have been with the credit Union for many years and I can say most of my experiences have been Good there was no line didn't have to wait The only problem I have with the credit Union is I have Zelle as a 3rd party app and When the Credit Union added it to the mobile app it app is not functioning as efficiently as the 3rd party app does I wish they would fix it
